“Just another stone, an Oliver Stone”
Filmele lui Oliver Stone le-am vazut la inceput pe furis, tupilata dupa usa de la sufragerie, incercand sa nu fac prea mult zgomot cand tata aducea acasa VHS-urile. Am inceput cu “Plutonul”, am continuat cu “Wall Street” si in cele din urma m-am mutat de pe hol pe canapea pentru a viziona “The Doors” si “Heaven&Earth”.
Oliver Stone nu a umblat cu jumatati de masura, merge pe drumul sau cu bune si rele. Nu este un regizor agreat iar punctele sale de vedere l-au facut sa fie un paria la Hollywood. Raman ideile sale, raman filmele, ramane romanul “A child’s night dream”.
Un luptator, un visator, un anti-erou, un creator, un om cu obsesiile si crezurile sale.
De numele sau se leaga notiuni cum ar fi “teoria conspiratiei” – asa cum vedem in “J.F.K.”, “Nixon”, “Alexander” – “marire si decadere” ca-n “The Doors” sau “Alexander”, “datorie fata de tara, onoare si alienare” ( Platoon si Born on Fourth of July). Ambitia acestui om pentru a realiza filmele asa cum vrea el este aproape legendara – daca stam sa ne gandim la versiunile Director’s cut si scenele Behind the Camera.
Experienta Vietnamului l-a facut sa aduca pe marele ecran filme dure pentru unii, pompoase pentru altii. Oliver si-a vazut de drumul sau. A cochetat cu dezastrul si a incercat sa atinga stelele.

Anumite personaje par sa imprumute gandurile sale.
O sa va intrebati poate de ce imi place mie Oliver Stone. O sa ma intreb la randul meu atunci cand parcurg pagini intregi scrise pe altarul unei teze.
Pentru ca e un visator nebun. Pentru ca te ridica si te coboara in filmele sale ca nimeni altul. Pentru ca te regasesti in personaje de legenda si realizezi ca erau oameni nu doar pagini din manualul de istorie. Pentru ca nu este perfect. Pentru ca incearca sa fie cel mai bun. Pentru ca a avut curaj sa scrie ca “lacomia este buna” si sa infrunte prejudecatiile despre razboi si politica. Pentru ca a avut si are un punct de vedere si nu-i este teama sa-l spuna. Pentru ca este incomod pentru unii si genial pentru altii.
Va asteptati poate la un top. Filmele preferate realizate de Oliver Stone intr-o ordine punctata de note si descrieri.
Nu. Voi pune titlurile si un citat si candva odata, cand timpul si gandurile se vor pune de acord voi scrie mai mult. Mult mai mult.
